Getting started

Documents needed for a delivery job (and how to fix a rejected upload)

Updated 24 September 2026 3 min read By the JobHarbor onboarding team

Verification is where most applications get stuck, and almost always for a fixable reason: a blurry photo, a name mismatch or a bank account in someone else's name. Here is the list and how to get through in one attempt.

The list

For every role: Aadhaar card, PAN card, a bank passbook or cancelled cheque in your own name, and a clear selfie. For rider roles add a driving licence (two-wheeler with gear or without, matching your vehicle) and the vehicle's RC. Store roles stop at the first four.

Why each one matters

Aadhaar proves identity and address; PAN is needed because payouts above a threshold are reported; the bank proof must match the name on Aadhaar exactly or payouts fail; the DL and RC are checked by the insurer that covers you on duty.

Top rejection reasons

  • Photo taken at an angle or with glare — lay the card flat in daylight
  • Name spelled differently on PAN and bank ("Md" vs "Mohammed")
  • Bank account belongs to a parent or spouse
  • Expired driving licence, or a licence for the wrong vehicle class
  • Selfie with a helmet, cap or sunglasses

How long it takes

With clean uploads, 1–2 working days. Most people we help complete their first order within 2–3 days of applying. If something is rejected, the app tells you which document; re-upload and it is usually cleared the same day.

Frequently asked

I do not have a PAN card. Can I still apply?

Apply for an e-PAN online first (it takes a few days); you cannot be activated without it.

Is a learner's licence enough?

No — a permanent driving licence is required for rider roles.

Do I need a police verification certificate?

Not for onboarding. Platforms run their own background checks.
